Samchillian

I spent last weekend dusting off my old midi keyboard (Friday evening) and playing it well into Sunday. I’ve always been interested in creating sounds (recording organic sounds and importing) and altering them via computer. I spent all weekend doing just that.

Being that I’m just getting back into making music - I figured I would cover a few songs first. However, I got a bit ahead of myself and recording a nice ambient tune; which I will post live as soon as I feel it’s finished (give a month or so).

Keeping what I said above in mind, I’ve been researching MIDI for the past few days, and came across this amazing project by Eitan Shefer’s. His final project at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design introduces a new type of electronic music keyboard controller called the samchillian, which pushes “relative notes” over “fixed pitches”
